Zlatan Ibrahimovic har nu fått ytterligare en individuell utmärkelse.
På onsdagens gala vart Zlatan utsedd till bästa spelare i den Amerikanska ligan, MLS. Varje år så utser ESPN de bästa idrottarna i USA. På onsdagens gala ESPY Awards, som gick av i Los Angeles, fick Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 37, motta priser som MLS främsta fotbollsspelare. Han besegrade Wayne Rooney, Josef Martinez och Aaron Long, som var de andra kandidaterna till priset.
USA:s damlandslag fick ta emot flera priser efter succén i VM som slutade med guld i Frankrike. Truppen fick priset som landets bästa lag i alla kategorier. Dessutom fick kapten Alex Morgan priset som bästa kvinnliga atlet.

Best Play: Katelyn Ohashi’s perfect 10.
Best Game: Los Angeles Rams’ record-setting victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on ”Monday Night Football.”
Best Male Athlete: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks forward and 2018-19 MVP.
Best Team: U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, which won 2019 World Cup.

Pat Tillman Award for Service: U.S. Marine Sgt. Kirstie Ennis.
Best Coach: Jim Calhoun, the 77-year-old, three-time Division I national champion at UConn and Basketball Hall of Famer, is now coach at the University of Saint Joseph at the Division III level.
Arthur Ashe Award for Courage: Bill Russell, Boston Celtics legend and Basketball Hall of Famer.
